a student initiative for a non-profit communal space in the heart of UdK
 

Who We Are

As Café Kubik, we want to create a place in the heart of the UdK where we can all come together, to relaxe and to exchange ideas, both privately and academically. That's why we, as a student initiative, founded the volunteer-run café to offer drinks and selected snacks at reasonable prices.
We look forward to a cross-faculty community, both in front of and behind the counter.
The Café Kubik is ment as a place offering space for cultural events: existing formats as well as new projects by students and teachers.
The products of the café will be sustainable. For us, this means supporting local companies and selecting products from our range that comply with ecological and fair trade standards. We will organize the initiative as a registered association and see ourselves as a non-hierarchical, democratic collective.
No profits should be made that go beyond paying the running costs and financing possible purchases for the design of the room.
