Submit a motion

The student parliament represents the entire student body and meets publicly. This means that all students are invited to attend StuPa meetings.

However, there are certain rules:

  • Members of the student parliament have the right to speak, submit motions, and vote.
  • Members of the AStA and members of the different Students’ Councils (FSR) have the right to speak and submit motions. They are not allowed to vote.
  • Members of commissions and committees, as well as the Students’ Electoral Board (StudWV), have the right to speak and submit motions on certain issues that concern them.
  • Student members of UdK committees have the right to speak.
  • All other students have none of these rights; they are essentially only allowed to listen. However, the StuPa can also decide to allow someone to speak and to allow motions. Therefore, every student is free to submit motions to the StuPa. The student parliament will then vote first on whether to accept the application and then on the application itself.

Applications to the student parliament must be sent to stupa@asta-udk-berlin.de at least one week before the student parliament meeting.

The application form for submitting a motion can be found here.
