3. The Student Council owns a camera with an external microphone. If you want to borrow the equipment for a recording please reach out to us.

Who we are: 

The Student Council Artistic Training Music (FSR KA Musik) is the independent and elected representation of all students of the Artistic Training programs (Early Music, Piano, Orchestral Instruments, Conducting) and Church Music.

Currently, there are eight members:

• Xavier Durand (BA old music)
• Clara Eglhuber (BA cello)
• Xixi Gabel (BA violin)
• Roberth Lopez (MA double bass)
• Annika Rast (BA flute)
• Una Weske (BA french horn)

What we do: 

As an integral part of the students' co-determination at UdK, we are the direct and representative body for the concerns and needs of the students in our degree programs. We are elected annually and work voluntarily.

Our main tasks are:

• the communication of the political processes at the university;
• the communication between students, teachers, and the administration; 
• engagement in the faculty council (Faultätsrat) and the institute councils (Institutsrat); 
• working together with the executive of the student body (AStA) and the Student Parliament (StuPa) and ensuring that our interests are protected; 
• the representation of our interests before the dean;
• helping to shape internal university changes (e.g. ASIMUT); 
• the organization of student events (partyyyys); 
• the support of first-year students and the corresponding introductory events; 
• taking care of student problems and trying to provide aid;
• the funding of student projects (see below).

Since we work self-initiated and self-determined, we are open to your plans, suggestions, and wishes and depend on you to point out problems to us! So if you have a concern, you are welcome to contact us and we will do our best to help you.  

As FSR KA Musik we have an autonomous budget provided by the university, with which we can support your projects and initiatives with up to 400€ if you apply to us. Please read the funding rules carefully. There you can find additional information on the requirements and procedures, as well as on the 'Förderantrag' and 'Erstattungsatrag'. If you have ideas and time to get involved in the student council and to represent our students interests, please send us an email! Usually, the FSR elections take place in the winter semester, but anyone who wants to get involved can also do so independently.
