Election of the Student Parliament 2022
The election of the StuPa of the University of the Arts will take place on 06, 07 and 08 June.
Here you will find the most important information about the election:
The StuPa and how you can get involved
The StuPa is the highest student body at the UdK Berlin. It elects the members of the General Students' Committee (AStA) and decides on the use of the student body's funds. The StuPa is made up of 30 members who meet twice a month; in plenary and in committee. Committees are smaller, topic-specific working groups that develop proposals that are voted on in plenary sessions. The StuPa is one of the most direct ways to make concrete changes for the benefit of all students. So take your chance to proactively shape the UdK in the future and contribute your ideas!
You can apply until 23 May at 2 p.m.
You can either stand as a motivated individual or in good company as a group (from three persons as a so-called list). To do so, you simply have to fill in the relevant form and send it to the election committee by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The election proposals will be published on the evening of 23 May via a notice board and here. The first constituent meeting is expected to take place on 20.06.2022 at 6 pm.
This year, for the first time, the election will take place online. Voting takes a maximum of five minutes of your time, is flexible and can be done from anywhere and makes a big difference!
All UdK students entitled to vote will receive a message with access data for the online voting portal to their UdK email address by 3.6. Between 06.06 at 9.00 a.m. and 08.06 at 11.59 p.m., voting is possible with the voting software Polyas. On request, you can also vote oldschool by postal vote. To do so, send an e-mail with the subject 'postal vote' to the election committee: email@example.com with the following information: Name, matriculation number, degree programme and postal address. The absentee ballot envelope contains instructions and the ballot paper and must be returned to us by 23.59 on 8 June for your vote to be counted!
How does the election work?
The election takes place as a personalised proportional election, unless no list is formed. In that case, a majority election will take place. The list of eligible voters can be viewed from 3 May to 9 May in the AStA office (Hardenbergstr. 33, Room 9) on request or at the information booths of the Student Election Committee. You can also get information about your listing in the electoral register by sending your name and matriculation number by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you discover an error in your data, you should send an objection to us by mail.
Who can vote and be elected?
All students enrolled at the UdK who have paid their semester fees this semester are eligible to vote. All eligible voters may also stand as StuPa members.
Objections against the approved election proposals can be submitted in writing until 26.5. Objections against the provisional election results can be submitted until 15.6 and must be justified in writing.
Go vote, get involved and make something of your impact.
